Forward thinking French progressive metallers UNEVEN STRUCTURE's debut album ‘FEBRUUS’ is a thirteen piece concept spanning across two discs, mixing lush soundscapes with fierce polymetric Metal, think Pink Floyd's creativity meets Meshuggah's brutality with a side serving of Devin Townsend's progressive charm.

worC - Plychrmatic 0.1

The first release of hopefully a long series, Plychrmatic 0.1 is the prelude of an ambient journey of a day in the sky. Slow, smooth and comfortable sound waves designed to be listened to while sleeping, or better: in alpha state. Nothing too distractive to help you dive into your thoughts and dreams. The only tool used to make this album is a guitar. The rest is the work of the various reverbs altering the sound to make atmospheres. These songs were originally created to be used as background music when sleeping to help make dreams.

.hohlraum is a highly experimental release focused on very specific emotions such as extreme fear, loneliness or the absence of emotions. It has been made in four days/nights flat of work during a 'strange' period of my life. This is the result of walks alone during snowy nights and lack of sleep among other factors. It's featuring ambient and lowercase experiments, and is not an easy-listening EP.

3dot - Aspekt - Réminiscences

Imagine you're in a white room, without any window but still well lit. And suddenly you start to hear frequencies and random clicks and cuts surrounding you. Aspekt and Réminiscences may very well be the soundtrack of that scene. Combining small room ambiences and hall reverberations, they give you the eerie feeling that you are in a room that is very large and very small at the same time, depending on the element of the song you're focusing on.

The opening track Aspekt is the more experimental track of the duo. Only two layers of melody, clicks randomly popping in the sonic panorama and the absence of rhythm make it a highly abstract song. The constant frequency could make one think it is a binaural rhythm, but it is actually here to help listeners focus better on the track. As for Réminiscences, it is a blend of minimal synth pads, gritty noises and 8-bit grooves. The structure of the song is slowly building, and elements add up to form a soothing atmosphere.
